About Me

I have learned from personal experience that we are all capable of so much more than we realise.  I understand the value of taking on challenge, of getting outside your comfort zone, of digging deep into your personal resources only to be amazed at what you can find there.  As a coach, it is my role to be the client’s champion and believe that they have much more capacity and potential than they are aware of.  Achieving something that you feared would be beyond you changes you forever.  It brings a heightened confidence, resilience and appetite for challenge.  After completing ironman triathlons, one hundred mile running races, climbing multiple 4,000m alpine peaks without the employment of a guide, and achieving a Guiness World Record, the conviction which I bring to my belief in the potential we all have is what sets me apart from many other coaches.

Additionally, after a career in education, I understand how different people learn and embrace self development in different ways.  I am committed to personal development and how the experience of discovering new skills, knowledge and resources is one of the great pleasures and energisers life has to offer.

After being a deputy headteacher for many years in one of the largest special educational needs schools in one of the most economically challenged and diverse wards in the country, I understand the importance of thinking critically and strategically so that multiple demands and challenges don’t prevent progress and improvement. Whether the goal is better results, increased impact, greater efficiency, career-progression, stronger relationships, preservation of wellbeing, enhanced fulfilment and happiness, I believe passionately that skilled coaching can be the decider in whether those goals are realised or not.
